The Bookmonger Society Reading List

Here is every book read by the Bookmonger Society, our monthly book club, in order since we began in April 2025. Our selections follow the books shaping the literary conversation: the most anticipated new releases and buzzworthy titles, with a few gems from Scottish authors along the way. From time to time, the choice is put to a vote and our members decide what comes next.

Not every pick has been a triumph. Some we adored, some divided the room, and a few gave us plenty to say for all the wrong reasons. Whatever the verdict, each one has sparked a lively and memorable discussion, and we've never been short of things to talk about.
