Liverpool The City I Love

Michael Bartram, born in Old Swan in 1958, has lived in this amazing city all his life. He is a very proud scouser! This book contains over 100 of his poems, and over 70 photographs both colour and black and white, taken throughout the ages, covering a huge range of topics relating to the city of Liverpool. Those topics include personal memories of growing up in Liverpool, the city's world-famous tourist attractions, iconic landmarks and historical architecture, plus its many hidden gems and lots, lots more. The heights of musical, sporting and comedy heritage of Liverpool are covered in this book. However, the hard times the city has faced have not been overlooked: wartime hardships, community struggles during covid, and the fight for justice for the 97 (all hugely important subjects) have been written about too.
